Are you a Betty or Veronica?

Today’s the day folks. Riverdale season 2 premiers on the CW tonight at 8:00.

 

Being a classic comic book fan, Archie and his gang sucked me right in for season 1. This twisty, dark take on the characters is something I never expected to like. To be honest, I am well over the age that I should be watching any show on the CW about a bunch of teenagers, but still…. it’s Archie. I had to give it a shot. Boy, am I glad I did.

*Spoiler for those who haven’t seen this show*

Girl-next-door Betty Cooper shows off her bad side when “Dark Betty” appears, her alter ego that nearly drowns one of her classmates, all while sporting a fantastic black wig.   Veronica tries her hardest to be the good girl and not get into trouble in this small town of Riverdale… which we know can never happen. The twists and turns in this show have me on the edge of my seat every.single.time.

Season 1 left us with a huge cliffhanger. Archie’s dad, Fred Andrews aka the beloved 90210 heartthrob Luke Perry, left us shot and holding on by a thread. Will Luke survive? Will my 90210 crush continue to be a regular in Archie’s world? I must know!

Who Lit The Black Flame Candle?

It’s official, according to Deadline, Disney is remaking the Halloween classic, Hocus Pocus.

We don’t know how we feel about this.

Apparently, 2017 is the year of remakes and reboots. Almost every show we think fondly of from the past has come back to haunt us.

Will our beloved sister witches remain the same? I don’t know many people who could replace Sarah Jessica Parker, Better Middler and Kathy Najimy. As of right now, none of the original cast will be involved in this remake. Personally, I can’t wrap my head around a new set of Sanderson sisters.

Will you hop on the remake train and tune in to the new Hocus Pocus?

Shiver Me Timbers! Who’s your favorite pirate?

It’s National Talk Like A Pirate Day so of course Toluna needs to get in on this fun. From Caption Hook to Long John Silver, pirates flood our TV and movie screens with the most dramatic and entertaining characters.

Who is your favorite pirate character?

We loved seeing Captain Jack Sparrow visit this hospital in Canada and hang out with the kids for a day. I have to say, for this moment, Captain Jack Sparrow may be my favorite. Take a look at the children’s faces… he may become your favorite after watching this video too!

Weekend Contest on School Supplies Update.

Hey everyone!

Let us start by saying just how amazing and eloquent you all are! The contest was a success and it has collectively generated more than 800 different opinions.

We loved going through them and seeing just how passionate you all are about education and the chances kids get towards having a great life.

All members have been credited with the promised 500 points for participation!Weekend Opinions COntest

Furthermore, BigOreo and Pdnr are our lucky 5000 points winners. Their opinions gathered the most likes!

Once again, and from a personal standpoint, I’m so happy to see how much you’ve all engaged with this. You had amazingly touching opinions, brilliantly argumented economic opinions, pretty much all aspects of education were covered.

This is another reason why the Toluna.com community is splendid! Your opinion does matter!
