We’re excited to announce that the Toluna and Greenfield Online communities will be coming together as one community under the Toluna name in the coming weeks!

For Toluna members, our site features will not change, except that we will be rolling out with some exciting changes to our rewards program, including the availability of PayPal!  Please see our previous blog posts about reward program changes for US members here and for Canadian members here.  These changes are scheduled to take effect on January 5.

How many drivers admit to texting while driving?

A recent study conducted in the United States shows that texting while driving can have an even deadlier effect that talking while driving, and a survey conducted by Toluna shows that a surprisingly high percentage of drivers admit to texting while driving.

PayPal Option Becomes Available in January

Many of our members have told us they would prefer to receive payment by PayPal instead of by check.  We heard you!  PayPal will become available in January as another option for members to receive payment.  When you redeem your Toluna points, you will have the added option of receiving payment through PayPal; or, you can still choose to receive a check by mail, redeem your points for additional entries to our cash sweepstakes, or redeem your points with one of hundreds of merchants through VIPGift.  If you already have a PayPal account, you are all set.  If you don’t, but would like to set up an account, please visit https://www.paypal.com/ for information on how to set up an account.

Cash Sweepstakes: Now MONTHLY Instead of Quarterly, with More Chances to Win!

Toluna members told us they wanted more chances to win our cash sweepstakes, so come January, we’ll have more winners!  The new monthly cash sweepstakes will have five lucky winners, with prizes of $2,500, $1,000, and $500, plus two prizes of $250!  The total amount awarded each month will be $4,500.

Double Points from 300 to 600 for Interest Surveys

Starting in January, the point award for personal interest survey completion DOUBLES from the current 300 points per survey to 600 points per survey.  Remember, once you complete all of your interest surveys, you will receive a one-time bonus of 2,000 points.  You’ll also have a better chance of being invited to surveys for which you qualify.  Be sure to take a few moments out of your busy day to complete your interest surveys.

Point Redemption Threshold Changes

We’re lowering the threshold to redeem Toluna points from 1,500 to 500 per entry to our new monthly sweepstakes, to provide our members with even more chances to win!

We’re pleased to have been able to bring our community members more survey opportunities in recent months.  Members are redeeming points more than ever before.  To meet the increased demand, we are raising the redemption minimum for the new VIPGift option from the current 45,000 points ($15) to 75,000 points ($25).  The good news here is that there are more merchants to choose from at the $25 level.  The redemption minimum for checks remains the same at 60,000 points ($20), and will also apply to the new PayPal option.
